Inserting Images into your Article

You have your own image library within the Content Management System that allows you to upload images in various file formats from your local pc to your online database. File formats accepted are .jpg, .gif and .bmp.

There are no restrictions on the number of images that you can upload to your image library although there are limitations on your databases file size. We would recommend that where possible clients upload images that are 72dpi and are of dimensions slightly larger than they intend to use on their website.

To insert an image place your cursor at the approximate point within the article content that you would like the image to appear. Then click on the insert image icon. You will see an overview of the images currently stored within your library with an option to upload new images at the bottom of the window. Now, simply select a thumbnail and it will now be inserted at its original size into the article content.

To resize the image first click on it so that its handles appear. Left click and hold the bottom left or bottom right handle and move your mouse to resize the image. Release the mouse button and your image will resize to the new dimensions. Alternatively you can resize the image by clicking it and then clicking the image properties icon. You will now see a new window with input fields that allow you to specify the dimensions of the image.

Within the image properties box you will be able to add alternate text, adjust the image dimensions, add a border, align the image and add horizontal and vertical space around the image. (This will pad the text around the image)
