Text Sizes

When we have developed your website we will have created styles within your style sheet for H1, H2, H3, H4, H5 and P tags. These are represented by Heading 1, Heading 2 etc and Paragraph from the drop down menu.

It is important that you start your article with a Heading 1 tag as this is replicated by the system within the meta page title tag of the public web pages source code. This is what the search engines value as the most important piece of information of any web-page they index. As with the title of the article, this Heading 1 (H1) tag should be descriptive and relevant.

The other Heading tags should be used throughout the rest of the article where best suited. As a rule Heading 2 should be used as a sub heading and Heading 3 as bolder text (probably the same size as paragraph on your public website) Paragraph should be used for all other text as you see fit.

To assign text one of the above tags firstly highlight the text with your mouse and choose on the appropriate tags from the drop down menu.

There are also other fonts and sizes which you can select from the menus. We recommend that you stick to the Heading and Paragraph styles when editing your text content as these are ruled by styles that we have already created in your websites cascading style sheet. If you use one of these other styles, please be aware that you may begin to compromise the design and styling of your website.
