As an R&D centre owned by Glyndwr University, the requirement for DesignWeb was to produce a clean, professional, content managed website and complete the project within a 4 week timescale as John Oliver, Business Development Director, OpTIC explains: “We were working to very tight timescales when we approached Paul and his team to develop our new website. Our objective is to use the website to showcase our technology offerings, be a point of referral for new prospects and to generate sales leads utilising SEO functionality.”

One other requirement included the need for the website to have a content management system which enabled key members of staff within the organisation to be able to update and amend the technology offerings as and when required. In order to fulfil this requirement, Paul and his team spent time with the OpTIC staff in providing CMS training.

The website was developed with the creative to include both the OpTIC and Glyndŵr University brands plus working within the academia sector, the website includes social networking bookmarks such as Facebook and Twitter to further promote the work of the dedicated scientists and engineers.
