We have been recently listed in the Association of Web Design Professionals. We have also been members of the UK Web Design Association for many years.
About the UK Web Design Association
The UK Web Design Association was established in 2001 to encourage and promote industry standards within the British web design and new media sector. The UKWDA is the largest internet association in Europe and now has 10878 members.
Membership is free so we are funded by a combination of our sponsors and advertising revenue. Our members include the self-employed through to international companies from many industry sectors, including publishing, marketing, design, ecommerce, television and education. Member benefits include an entry in our directory of web professionals, use of the UKWDA logo on your website and marketing collateral and beneficial rates for legal advice.
About Association of Web Design Professionals
The idea behind Association of web design professionals started out by a small media company looking to build a website that listed digital media professionals around the world and help share knowledge.
Originally built in the Spring of 2008 by the small media company, the website saw a small increase in interest from digital media professionals globally.
As Assocation of web design professionals was then left to grow on its own and with the small media company that started the project started to fall apart, due to lack of commitment and the structure of a management team that could bring more core business. With the team in dismay the web site was left untouched for almost a year. After the company finally closed down (shelved) Association of web design professionals had grown bigger than anticipated without support or help.
Seeing potential in a website that was left without second thought by the media company, Rob Cullen the current owner and developer of the AWDP and a previous employee of the small media company, took on the project to build Association of web design professionals even bigger and better, adding new technology and looking to improve its user interface and user experience.
